A glimmer of hope on a dim horizon

Flame. LeCrae. Shai Linne.

If those names don't sound familiar to you, they should. They are men who preach the whole Gospel boldly, who aren't afraid to talk serious theology while dropping some serious beats and spitting some serious rhymes. It's crazy stuff, and y'all need to get all over it right now.

While you're waiting for your shiny new Shai Linne album to come in, hop on over to the man's blog and check out what he has to say about serving the Lord with fear and rejoicing.

Go on.

I'm with you on Shai Linne. He's very good! (hat-tip to JD for introducing me to him)

...I must admit I thought they were the names of three NCAA basketballers you were about to enlighten me on. I don't really keep up with college basketball circles OR theological ones.

Out of interest's sake, how would Flame, LeCrae and Shai Linne go as a 3-on-3 team?

Radagast, you're right. Good stuff.

Angus McCloud Livingston, you of all people need to invest some time in NCAA basketball, my friend. It's the best sport of all times, ever, and I mean ever. EVER. Come on. My last post was POETIC, and not because of me, but because of the total ugly-virgin-like purity of the game.

As to your question, I have no blessed idea. Shai? Thoughts?

We don't get live NCAA games in Australia, except occasionally on cable, which I don't have. When I have seen college basketball it's been great because of the athleticism and the dunks and how much it means to everyone.

"total ugly-virgin-like purity of the game"

I love that phrase so much I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant! (thanks to Tracy Jordan and 30 Rock)

Online. Everything can happen online. Magical streaming NCAA games right in the middle of your day. Convenient!

Best Golden Globes acceptance speech ever? "Tina and I had an agreement that if Barack Obama won, I'd speak for the show from now on.... I'm the face of post-racial America! Deal with it, Cate Blanchett!"

Ha! Awesome!

Okay, I'm totally going to get some NCAA action now thanks to Laura and her sweet hookups. Thanks!

And my hat-tip for Shai Linne goes to Collin Hansen's Young, Restless, Reformed.

LAURA!!!
I just happened to have dropped by - when I glanced through my list of "Favorite webpages"
It's been SOOOOO long since I last visited your blog!! What've you been up to?
Good that you're still keeping this blog. And you're still writing interesting stuff from really wacky angles. Hahaha... I've stopped writing since almost 2 years ago coz I get too lazy. Pity, eh? I used to keep a diary for a few years.
I don't see you on MSN these days anymore. What are you doing now?

Jimmy (from your beloved HK)

Jimmy-ah! Sik jo fan mei? ;)

I'm sorry you've quit writing... too bad. Nothing much is happening here, just teaching school and writing and watching basketball, mostly. I'm dying to get out and travel this Summer but you know, money.

I'm totally over MSN. I'm a Skyper and a Google chatter now. :)

Blessings, old friend.
