Bless, O Lord, this creature beer, which thou hast deigned to produce from the fat of grain: that it may be a salutary remedy to the human race, and grant through the invocation of thy holy name; that, whoever shall drink it, may gain health in body and peace in soul. Through Christ our Lord.

I'd heard you were a beer fan! :)
But seriously, a prayer like that is good for other drinks too...
this is brilliant! its so sad that the church has lost touch with the blessing that beer can be... when you return to Tasmania we will need to talk.
YES!! AMEN! I knew it all along that I could gain health in body and peace in soul from beer. (And a healthy-sized gut). I might just print that off and put it on my fridge so I can say the prayer whenever I pop open a beautiful beechwood aged beverage. Thank you!
Dude, beer TOTALLY gives me health in body and peace in soul. ALWAYS. It is a majorly salutary remedy.
Good to hear from you! Hope everything is great with you and Jess.
This year I used beer in my Christmas cake.
It's been ten days, four hours and thirty-one minutes since your last post and only four days since my last post....now who needs to update?
Jacob Evelyn Douvier, that gets a big old WHATEVS from me. I post like ten times more often than you do.
Oh, and Jonny, dumping a beer on cake does not mean you "used beer" in your "Christmas cake". ;)
Quantity does not make up for quality.
And it's "Paul," not "Evelyn."
Oh snap.
Had this bit of wisdom been written in German, I might have ascribed it to my beloved Luther.
Just having a look around Laura........nice place you've got here.
Thanks for dropping by, Gary! I'm diggin' your song on p-p!
If only I wasn't past the cut-off age for American Idol.
